Ineke Hans

Ineke Hans is a critical designer of furniture, products, exhibitions and spaces with content. She explores new design strategies, works for clients, communities and leading international manufacturers on product typologies to fit our future social context.

After graduating from the RCA in London, she set up her studio in Arnhem (NL) in 1998. She worked with recycled materials and on efficient use of materials for over 25 years. Her projects are clear and down to earth, both industrial as connected to vernacular approaches.

Hanna Neuvo / Fyra

Fyra is a Helsinki based design agency focused on functionality, aesthetics, and branding through interior design. Mastered in hotel and restaurant spaces as well as working environments, real estate development, different concepts, and cross-sectional projects, Fyra has claimed its place as a responsible and proactive player in the industry.

Fyra is committed to finding ways to create high‐quality interior designs with a smaller carbon footprint. Striving to create high quality, circular designs through ambitious and responsible choices, Fyra aims for a resource‐wise use of materials and a comprehensive understanding of the overall impacts of the choices made.

Hanna Neuvo is one of the four co-founders of the internationally acclaimed design agency Fyra. As M.Sc.Econ and the CEO of Fyra, she handles overseeing the overall operations, strategic direction, and growth of the agency.

Ann Light

Ann Light is Professor of Design at University of Sussex, UK, and Malmo University, Sweden. She specializes in participatory practice, human-technology relations and collaborative future-making.

She is currently a partner in the EU projects Bauhaus of the Seas Sails (bauhaus-seas.eu) and ReWorlding (www.uhasselt.be/en/onderzoeksgroepen-en/arck/spatial-capacity-building/reworlding). Her personal Fellowship in the UK examines “The Role of Immersive Participative Techniques in Eco-Social Change”. She has authored 135 papers in the design field and worked in design consultancy before becoming an academic.

 

Kaisu Savola

Dr. Kaisu Savola is a design historian and curator working as a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University, Department of Design. She is currently writing a book based on her doctoral dissertation about social, political and environmental values in Finnish design in the 1960s and 1970s, due to be published by Bloomsbury in 2026.

Her previous work includes developing and researching the Nokia Design Archive, curating the Design Museum Helsinki headline exhibition Design for Every Body, and curating and producing the Finnish Pavilion Everyday Experiments at the XXII Triennale di Milano.

Harri Koskinen

Harri Koskinen (Karstula 1970) is an industrial designer and the head of the Friends of Industry Ltd. creative design studio, based in Helsinki, Finland. His expertise spans design research and development, as well as ethical product solutions. He has curated and designed numerous exhibitions worldwide. His designs can be found in the collection of many museums including MoMA, New York.

Design collaborations have been awarded e.g. the Fennia Prize (2017), the Good Design Award, Chicago (2017); the Monitor Innovation Award, Denmark (2016); the IABM Design and Innovation Awards, London (2016); the Kaj Franck Design Prize, Helsinki (2014); Pro Finlandia Medal, Finland (2014); and Compasso d’Oro and Compasso d’Oro Selezione, Italy (2004).

Long-term cooperation partners are Anora, Artek, Finlandia Vodka, Genelec, Iittala, Issey Miyake, Marimekko, Muji, Panasonic, Seiko and Woodnotes. Recent projects are tableware for Finnair with Iittala, wall hook for Thonet and light object for Hermès.

Zeynep Falay von Flittner

Zeynep Falay von Flittner is an award-winning designer, strategist, and entrepreneur dedicated to harnessing the power of design for sustainability transitions. With over 20 years of experience spanning UX design, service design, and transition design, she has become a leading voice in transformational design, inspiring and empowering the global design community.

As the founder of Falay Transition Design Collective, she leads a network of multidisciplinary professionals committed to systemic change. Through the integration of creative methodologies, her work helps organizations envision and prototype just, regenerative, and sustainable futures. Her expertise extends across consulting, education, and research, driving meaningful impact in environmental protection and social well-being.

In recognition of her pioneering contributions to design for societal transformation, Falay von Flittner was honored with the Ornamo Award in 2024.

Angelos Arnis & Milja Havusela

Angelos Arnis

Angelos Arnis is a strategic designer building systems and conditions that drive meaningful impact, encourage radical collaboration, and promote intentional change. He is using design to create more equitable conditions for the planet and its people. Currently leading his own practice as a solo entrepreneur and activist at Mesa. His award-winning work includes the Fennia Prize 22 for the OmaPosti app and recognition for branding projects, while his thought leadership extends to international speaking engagements and co-authoring the Ornamo Responsible Design Manifesto. He is the co-founder at Joint Frontiers and an alumnus organizer of Joint Futures, IxDA, UXHel, DSCONF, & Junction Hackathon.

Milja Havusela

Milja Havusela is an experienced Designer driven by responsible thinking. With a BA in Culture and Arts (major in footwear), she has worked across product design, marketing, and B2B sales with growing awareness of the need for more sustainable practices in the Fashion, Sports, Health & Wellness industries she’s worked in. She also studied entrepreneurship at Haaga-Helia, which broadened her understanding of business before returning to her design roots. In addition to her core design work, Milja has experience in UI/UX and circular design projects. Most recently, she deepened her expertise by completing courses in sustainable textiles and packaging at TAMK.

Her passion for life-wide learning and sustainability has led her to seek colleagues that share her enthusiasm, and she was one of the founding members of Ornamo Responsibility Circle, a peer network for sharing knowledge and ideas on sustainability. Currently, she is taking time to reflect on new career paths that align with her values.

Timo Penttilä & Antti Tevajärvi

Timo Penttilä and Antti Tevajärvi run Artek 2nd Cycle, Artek’s platform for pre-loved Finnish design, founded in 2006. Both Timo and Antti have been part of conceptualizing and curating the collection of Artek 2nd Cycle since the beginning. One of the most important missions of Artek 2nd Cycle is preserving the design heritage of Artek, the modern interior design company architects Alvar and Aino Aalto co-founded in 1935.
