Ineke Hans

Ineke Hans is a critical designer of furniture, products, exhibitions and spaces with content. She explores new design strategies, works for clients, communities and leading international manufacturers on product typologies to fit our future social context.

After graduating from the RCA in London, she set up her studio in Arnhem (NL) in 1998. She worked with recycled materials and on efficient use of materials for over 25 years. Her projects are clear and down to earth, both industrial as connected to vernacular approaches.

Ann Light

Ann Light is Professor of Design at University of Sussex, UK, and Malmo University, Sweden. She specializes in participatory practice, human-technology relations and collaborative future-making.

She is currently a partner in the EU projects Bauhaus of the Seas Sails (bauhaus-seas.eu) and ReWorlding (www.uhasselt.be/en/onderzoeksgroepen-en/arck/spatial-capacity-building/reworlding). Her personal Fellowship in the UK examines “The Role of Immersive Participative Techniques in Eco-Social Change”. She has authored 135 papers in the design field and worked in design consultancy before becoming an academic.

Kaisu Savola

Dr. Kaisu Savola is a design historian and curator working as a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University, Department of Design. She is currently writing a book based on her doctoral dissertation about social, political and environmental values in Finnish design in the 1960s and 1970s, due to be published by Bloomsbury in 2026.

Her previous work includes developing and researching the Nokia Design Archive, curating the Design Museum Helsinki headline exhibition Design for Every Body, and curating and producing the Finnish Pavilion Everyday Experiments at the XXII Triennale di Milano.

Harri Koskinen

Harri Koskinen (Karstula 1970) is an industrial designer and the head of the Friends of Industry Ltd. creative design studio, based in Helsinki, Finland. His expertise spans design research and development, as well as ethical product solutions. He has curated and designed numerous exhibitions worldwide. His designs can be found in the collection of many museums including MoMA, New York.

Design collaborations have been awarded e.g. the Fennia Prize (2017), the Good Design Award, Chicago (2017); the Monitor Innovation Award, Denmark (2016); the IABM Design and Innovation Awards, London (2016); the Kaj Franck Design Prize, Helsinki (2014); Pro Finlandia Medal, Finland (2014); and Compasso d’Oro and Compasso d’Oro Selezione, Italy (2004).

Long-term cooperation partners are Anora, Artek, Finlandia Vodka, Genelec, Iittala, Issey Miyake, Marimekko, Muji, Panasonic, Seiko and Woodnotes. Recent projects are tableware for Finnair with Iittala, wall hook for Thonet and light object for Hermès.

Zeynep Falay von Flittner

Zeynep Falay von Flittner is an award-winning designer, strategist, and entrepreneur dedicated to harnessing the power of design for sustainability transitions. With over 20 years of experience spanning UX design, service design, and transition design, she has become a leading voice in transformational design, inspiring and empowering the global design community.

As the founder of Falay Transition Design Collective, she leads a network of multidisciplinary professionals committed to systemic change. Through the integration of creative methodologies, her work helps organizations envision and prototype just, regenerative, and sustainable futures. Her expertise extends across consulting, education, and research, driving meaningful impact in environmental protection and social well-being.

In recognition of her pioneering contributions to design for societal transformation, Falay von Flittner was honored with the Ornamo Award in 2024.

Hanna Neuvo / Fyra

Fyra is a Helsinki based design agency focused on functionality, aesthetics, and branding through interior design.
