The exhibition tells the story of Aino and Alvar Aalto’s furniture design and manufacturing, the founding of Artek, and the company’s subsequent decades.

Most of the furniture, photographs and drawings in the exhibition are from the Alvar Aalto Foundation’s collections.

Visit the exhibition virtually here.

The exhibition is the part of a four-part series: Aino & Alvar Aalto – Shared Visions. Small is beautiful – ideal homes for everyone, which tours in Japan in 2019-2021. The exhibition is produced by the Alvar Aalto Foundation and the Gallery A-quad.
