Alvar Aalto Museum in Jyväskylä is closed according to guidance issued by the City of Jyväskylä during February 2-14, 2021. We will keep the audience informed if the situation changes.
For customers who have purchased a ticket from the web shop, the Foundation will automatically provide a refund within one week. Possible inquiries concerning the tickets: shop@alvaraalto.fi. The Alvar Aalto Shop is open in Jyväskylä city centre normally.
Alvar Aalto´s birthday and Architecture Day, February 3, is celebrated this year with online events. The day is proposed as a national flagging date for the Finnish architecture and design. Read more about the news and events of the day.
From the 2nd of February 2021, it will be possible to visit the Alvar Aalto Foundation´s Museum Sites in Helsinki, the Aalto House and Studio Aalto with certain restrictions. Tours are for a maximum of 5 people (+guide) at a time. Customers are requested to buy tickets in advance. We have taken a number of different measures to ensure customers´safety. Visitors will receive further guidance on the spot to make their Museum visit a pleasant and safe one. We require visitors to use the face mask during the visit.
The guided tours are arranged as follows:
The Aalto House
Tue at 13pm.
Wed-Thu at 5 pm.
Fri at 1 pm.
Sat-Sun at 12 and 1pm.
Studio Aalto
Tue at 2.30pm.
Wed-Thu at 6.30pm.
Fri at 2.30pm.
Sat-Sun at 2.30pm.
