Alvar Aalto Foundation´s museum sites the Aalto House and the Studio Aalto in Helsinki are closed to the public until April 12, 2021. Tickets can be booked since April 13, 2021 (group size max 5 visitors + guide).
The Alvar Aalto Museum in Jyväskylä is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.
We have taken a number of measures to ensure the safety of our customers. Visitors will receive further guidance on the spot to make their museum visit as safe and pleasant as possible. We ask the visitors to wear face masks during the museum visits.
Café Alvar is closed until April 18, 2021 and serving clients from April 20, 2021 on Tue-Fi 11-18 and Sat-Sun 12-17.
Our exhibitions await the public – Diverse Design – 30 years of passionate collecting in the Main Exhibition Hall and the Dream of a Museum. Alvar Aalto´s Museum Designs in the Gallery. Especially the exhibition of collector Pertti Männistö´s superb and unique Aalto collection has gained a wide success. Because of that we have a pleasure to announce that the exhibition time has been extended by a month – until April 25, 2021. Also the Dream of a Museum exhibition is on display until the same date.
Alvar Aalto Museum and Café Alvar will close for complete renovation of the museum building on April 26, 2021. The museum will be open to the public again in summer 2023.
