The Alvar Aalto Museum in Jyväskylä will open to the public on February 16, 2021 with certain restrictions. We have taken a number of measures to ensure the safety of our customers. Visitors will receive further guidance on the spot to make their museum visit as safe and pleasant as possible.

We encourage visitors to wear face masks during the museum visit. The museum will be open 11.00-18.00 from Tuesday to Sunday. We are monitoring the situation closely and will announce any changes as the situation requires.

Our exhibitions await the public – Diverse Design – 30 years of passionate collecting in the Main Exhibition Hall and the Dream of a Museum. Alvar Aalto´s Museum Designs in the Gallery. Especially the exhibition of collector Pertti Männistö´s superb and unique Aalto collection has gained a wide success. Because of that we have a pleasure to announce that the exhibition time has been extended by a month – until April 25, 2021. The Dream of a Museum exhibition is also on display until the same date.

Upon the end of these exhibitions the Alvar Aalto Museum will close for complete renovation of the Museum building. The Museum will be open to the public again in August 2023.
