The newer version has been in the Artek range since the early 1950s. This model (A 702) is available painted white, black or yellow. The stem is of bright metal and the adjustable ‘peak’ is white. It is the peak that has caused the lamp to be nicknamed Ylioppilas (Student), a reference to the hat worn by Finnish students at the matriculation ceremony.
