TIMELESS – Aalto’s architecture in Rovaniemi is a permanent exhibition in the Rovaniemi City Hall which presents Alvar Aalto’s work in heart of Lapland. Even though Aalto’s works in Rovaniemi are pretty well known, his creations can always be presented from a new point of view. The purpose of this exhibition is to increase the knowledge and appreciation of this local architectural heritage.
The exhibition is a result of the cooperation between researcher, Charlotte Malaprade, the Regional Museum of Lapland and the Alvar Aalto Museum. This project has been carried through with the funding granted by Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation and the Lapland Regional Found of Finnish Cultural Foundation.
TIMELESS – Aalto’s architecture in Rovaniemi was open for public in the Gallery at the Alvar Aalto Museum from 1.11.2013 to 2.2.2014.
