The cost of guided tours of Alvar Aalto Foundation museum sites goes up on February 1, 2020. The price changes affect The Aalto House, with tickets now costing 22 euros, and Studio Aalto and the Muuratsalo Experimental House, with admission now 20 euros. Tickets include a guided tour. Entry to the Alvar Aalto Museum is unchanged at 6 euros.
There will also be changes to opening hours. Studio Aalto and the Aalto House have guided tours throughout the year. Tour schedules vary according to the season, with more tours in the busiest summer period. In addition to tours for the public mainly in English, there are also occasional tours in Finnish and Japanese. The maximum number of people per guided tour is 20.
Alvar Aalto’s summer residence, the Muuratsalo Experimental House in Jyväskylä, is open to the public June 1–September 15, 2020, with the number of visiting times increased from one to two a day during the busiest period (July 1–August 31). During the busiest period there are guided tours of the Experimental House in Finnish at 12:30 and in English at 14:30. Group size for tours of the Experimental House is limited to 15.
All the sites are also open to groups at other time by appointment.
