Alvar Aalto Foundation´s Museum Sites Aalto House and Studio Aalto in Helsinki have been closed according to guidance issued by the City of Helsinki until January 31, 2021. Alvar Aalto Foundation wants to be responsible and make sure that the coronavirus will not spread through our Museum sites.
For customers who have purchased a ticket from the web shop, the Foundation will automatically provide a refund within one week. Possible inquiries concerning the tickets: shop@alvaraalto.fi
Alvar Aalto Museum in Jyväskylä will be open for the public with certain restrictions. A maximum of 10 people / group will be admitted at a time if the private occasions to be arranged in the museum premises until January 17, 2021 which is the guidance issued by the City of Jyväskylä.
The Alvar Aalto Museum´s permanent exhibition is already closed, but the exhibition The Dream of a Museum. Alvar Aalto´s Museum Designs is currently on display at the Gallery of the museum. We hope that visitors use face masks during the visit.
We will keep the audience informed if the situation changes.
Although the museum sites are closed, architecture and design can be explored through our digital channels. The Aalto House and Studio Aalto can be discovered through the videos.
