Welcome to Aalto University’s Undergraduate Centre (old main building, B-Sali, Otakaari 1, Espoo) on 9.2.2023, 16:00-17:00, to listen to the Studia Generalia lecture held in English. The title of the public lecture by award-winning debut author Sanna Puutonen is “The return of the dropout – An author’s expedition to the built environment, what was found and why should anyone care?” Sanna Puutonen has a master’s degree from the University of Helsinki, where she studied comparative literature, and has also studied architecture at Aalto University.
The lecture is part of NORDMAK (Nordisk Master i Arkitektoniskt Kulturarv) that is an international master’s programme, whose main organiser and degree grantor is the Danish Aarhus School of Architecture (Arkitektskolen Aarhus). The other organizers are the Royal Institute of Art (Kungliga Kunsthögskolan) in Stockholm, Sweden, and the Oslo School of Architecture (Arkitektur- og designhøgskolen i Oslo) in Norway. The training period in Finland is being jointly organised by Aalto University and the Alvar Aalto Academy (part of the Alvar Aalto Foundation).
