Studio Aalto was completed in 1955 for the use of Alvar and Elissa Aaltos’ architect’s office and extended in 1963. The building is in Helsinki, in the same district as the Aalto House, a short distance away.
The Aaltos designed the white-painted Studio to meet the office’s creative-work needs, making it suitable for both group and individual work. The spaces were designed to be flexible, allowing for developments in working methods and variations in the number of staff according to the demands of each project.
