The Alvar Aalto Museum in Jyväskylä has received gratifyingly many visitors during the summer. In July, close to 1000 more people than last year visited the Museum – which is a 30% increase. The busiest season is now under way, with August particularly popular with international travellers.

The raised visitor count is especially good news since rerouted access and building work in the Ruusupuisto area near the Museum is still in operation. Planning for the museum-centre project that will join the Alvar Aalto Museum and the Museum of Central Finland begins in August, signalling further improvements to the museums’ environs.
