n o t e s f o r c o n t r i b u t o r s ptah is published twice a year technical information tekniset tiedot Submission of manuscripts The editors of ptah are ready to receive original, unpublished manuscripts without obligation. Text not to exceed a total of 20 000 characters. Manuscripts may be in Finnish, English or Swedish (preferably in English). All texts are published in English. Text can be sent by Final manuscript After acceptance, final manuscripts can be sent by e-mail or by mail (including both diskette and paper copy). All normal word processing formats are acceptable (although Microsoft Word PC/Mac for Windows are preferred). The Author must advise us in advance whether he/she wants the article to be published as an article refereed anonymously by two referees or as an essay. First English language publishing rights will be retained by the publisher. Illustrations High quality originals are preferred, alternatives should be discussed in advance with the art editor. Digital material should be in either tif- or eps-format. A declaration that copyright clearance has been obtained for all illustrations must be included in all illustrated submissions. Where this requires acknowledgement of the photographer, this must be indicated. Diskettes and illustrative material will be discarded one month after publication (unless the editor is specifically requested at the time of submission to return material to the author). Material sent on the writer's own initiative will not be returned. |
