The Alvar Aalto Academy is an international discussion forum within the field of environmental culture, particularly contemporary architecture. The Academy also focuses actively on promoting further education in architecture. Founded in 1999, the Alvar Aalto Academy operates in conjunction with the Alvar Aalto Foundation.

The Academy is financed by a grant from the Ministry of Education.
